KATHMANDU, Feb 19: The hearing on writ filed against chief justice-led (CJ) government has been postponed owing to busy schedule of Justice Kalyan Shrestha.

Shrestha was expected to deliver verdicts on around 24 various cases today, however, he could just attend 10 cases.[break]

Advocate Bharat Mani Jangam filed writ petition on Sunday demanding the Supreme Court intervention against the appointment.

The petitioner has sought an interim order against the decision of the four major parties--UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and United Democratic Madhesi Front, arguing that such a move would encroach on the independence of judiciary.

The petitioner has also sought apex court order for the formation of a government within a month to conduct fresh election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) and parliament.
