Speaking at a function in the capital Tuesday, Baidya said, “The country is at a critical juncture in its political history; there is a serious conflict going on between the revolutionary and the anti-revolutionary forces, and it is still uncertain which one will prevail,” said Baidya, who leads the hardline camp in the Unified CPN (Maoist).
He argued that the Maoists will continue with the ongoing struggle and form a national unity government comprising the Maoists, leftists and patriotic forces. He also pointed out the need for yet another revolution if the Maoists fail to achieve the goals.
“If the current situation persists, we should be ready for yet another people´s movement,” he said. He criticized the political parties for bringing down the popularly elected Maoist-led government.
Criticizing the media he said the “media houses are under the grip of colonialists”.
