Despite repeated claims of unity by Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Baidya made it clear that there was no possibility of unity with the party. He argued that there was no possibility of unity as they could not accept the current state power and parliamentary system and the Maoists were moving forward as the guardians of the central parliamentary system.

Similarly, he said that there was no possibility of unity with the CPN-Masal led by Mohan Bikram Singh and the Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal. He said that even those parties do not match the political line. Speaking on the occasion, Baidya said that the MCC project should be scrapped as it was treasonous. Similarly, the current government has not been able to speak as much as the KP Sharma Oli-led government despite the complexities of Lipulek, Limpiyadhura and Kalapani area.

He said that despite the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi making the statement that the road construction work was going on in the area, the Nepali government has remained silent. He stressed the need to stand strong for national independence.
