Parliamentarian-elect Resham Chaudhary from Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJP-N), has taken an oath of office and secrecy almost 13 months after his election to the House of Representatives. Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara administered an oath of office and secrecy to Chaudhary amid a ceremony at the parliament’s secretariat in Singha Durbar.

PM Oli lays foundation of sewage treatment plant

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has laid the foundation stone for a sewage treatment plant at Balkumari of Lalitpur today. The plant is to be constructed by the Ministry of Water Supply and Sanitation. It is targeted to be completed within the coming five years. Such sewage treatment plants are located at Guheshwori, Sallaghari, Balkumari (Kodku) and Sundarighat in the Kathmandu Valley. 

Man attacks wife with acid

A man from Pokhara Metropolitan City has attacked his wife with acid in Bharatpur, Chitwan on Wednesday. Biren Gurung, 47, attacked his wife Dolma Rumba, 20, with acid at the latter’s parental home at Dhrubabazar in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-24.

Title race not over even if Liverpool beat City, says Kompany
