The Parliament meeting has been adjourned till Wednesday, according to the Parliament Secretariat. In a notice today, the secretariat said that the next meeting will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday. Earlier today afternoon, the parliament meeting turned unpleasant. 

Provincial assembly decides not to administer oath to Deepak Manange

The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of Gandaki Provincial Assembly has decided not to administer the oath of office and secrecy to Rajiv Gurung alias Deepak Manange, a provincial assembly member elected from Manang. Responding to an application filed by Manange last week, a meeting of the BAC on Sunday made the decision.

The students from the mountainous districts of Karnali Province are bound to sit in the exam without completing the annual course of study every year. Irregular attendance of students and teachers, and a shortage of subject teachers are main reasons behind not completing the books before attending the exam, said Sher Bahadur Rokaya, a 7th grader at Mahadev Basic School in the district.
