According to a schedule published by Asian Cricket Council (ACC), Nepal is pitted in group A along with defending champion Hong Kong, Afghanistan, Malaysia, Bhutan and the UAE. Group B consists Thailand, China, Singapore, Kuwait, Iran and Qatar. The winner of the event will qualify Women´s World T20 Cup in Ireland in August.[break]
On January 23 Nepal will lock horns against Afghanistan, Bhutan on 24, UAE on 25, Malaysia on 27 and Hong Kong on 28. Semifinals will be held on January 30 and final on 31.
Meanwhile, Cricket Association of Nepal on Tuesday name 25 players in the first stage of selection. The closed camp training began from Tuesday in the capital. National team coach Pubudu Dassanayake will coach the team during initial stage. Later the team will be handed over to a Nepali coach.
