DAMAULI, Oct 5: Local people of Byas Municipality-5 in Tanahun affected by a hydropower project have voiced concerns about solatium issue.
They have said the decision taken by the district compensation determination committee relating to the compensation would not be acceptable to them, accusing the committee of valuing their land acquired for the for the 140 megawatts Tanahun Hydropower Project arbitrarily, according to a press statement released by Tej Raj Thapaliya, Chairperson of the association affected by the project.
They have demanded that each ropani of land acquired for the project be valued at Rs 1 million. RSS
