Property worth 5m gutted in Jhapa plywood factory fire

BHADRAPUR, Sept 22: Property worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were gutted when fire broke out on Friday night at the Annapurna Plywood Industry at Bhadrapur -4, in Jhapa district.



The loss was estimated to be Rs. five million in the blaze that occurred after electrical short circuit in the machine, said the District Police Office Jhapa. [break]



Raw materials, go down and machines have been gutted in fire.



The fire came into control after five hours of efforts by the local people, fire engine, and police.
