Samjhana succumbs to acid injury

Samjhana Das, 18, one of the two sisters who was undergoing treatment after an acid attack, died on Sunday night in Kirtipur Hospital at 11:40 PM after infections spreaded to other parts of the body. Samjhana and her 16-year-old sister, Sushma from Chandra Municipality-6, Rautahat. were attacked with acid during their sleep on the night of Teej, September 11. 

Japan provides medical equipment worth Rs 1 billion

The government of Japan has provided medical equipment to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH). Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) provided physical and medical equipments worth one billion rupees under the third-phase assistance.
