The event was held at the Kathmandu Enclave, Bafal on 12 November. The raffle draw boasted prizes such as a laptop for the first prize winner, a mobile phone for the second and an iPod for the third.[break]
As a part of HCN’s annual fundraiser, the raffle draw was successful in collecting a total of four lakh rupees for the social cause.
The draw was supported by leading band names such as Lava and Samsung Mobiles.
The program was organized by the eighth semester students of Apex College, Baneshwar and staff from Annaz Collection, India.
HCN has been sponsoring many students from Palpa and have also been conducting various interaction programs in schools in Palpa and even in reputed school inside the Valley.
HCN believes in teaching/learning, sharing knowledge/skill and raising awareness and works on empowering underprivileged women and children in education and health sector by working hand-in-hand with them.
Earlier during 2008, similar initiative had been undertaken by HCN to raise funds to initiate and sustain poultry farming.
This year the collected funds will be utilized to provide scholarships for children.
