SURKHET, Feb 8: CPN-UML leader Yamlal Kandel has been nominated as Parliamentary Party leader for the Province-6.  

UML Politburo Member Kandel has been elected unopposed through the meeting held at the provincial headquarters Birendranagar on Thrusday.

Politburo Member Prakash Jwala proposed Kandel as PP leader in the meeting chaired by senior-most PA member Padam Rokaya .  

Jawala’s proposal was seconded by the entire UML provincial assembly members of province-6.  Yubraj Gyanwali, party vice-chairman, was a chief guest of the meeting.

Of the 40 total PA members, 20 are from CPN-UML.  He will not get the post of Chief Minister due to coalition with CPN (Maoist center). Maoist Center PA member will be the CM of Province-6.  According to a source, Maoist Center is fielding Mahendra Bahadur Shahi as the PP leader of the Party and CM of the Province-6.
