All the bodies brought at the District Hospital from the accident site were handed over to the relatives of the deceased persons. After receiving the bodies, they were cremated at the confluence of Myagdikhola and Kali Gandaki River as per the tradition. [break]
Thirteen persons had died and seven others were injured when the accident took place as the bus (Ga. 1 Kha. 2704) heading towards Darbang from Lampata in Babiyachaur-5 fell some 300 meters below the steep road in Babiyachaur-8, Ranabang.
The bodies of Mukunda Subedi of Takam-4, Kale Damai of Okharbot, Rupesh Nepali of Pulachaur, Purna Bahadur Chhantyal and Surya Chhantyal of Barjanga and Tul Bahadur Pun of Muna were handed over to the relatives.
The students of Jagannath Primary School, Hilapokhari, mourned the death of school headmaster Mukunda Subedi. Similarly, the students of Dhan Pandey Secondary School mourned today over their teacher Tul Bahadur Pun´s demise.
Similarly, Tara Khatri (Sharada) and her six-month old daughter Pratikshya of Singa, Tatopani, Tika Rasaili and her two-year old son Pravat of Rum, Lil Bahadur Gharti of Mudi-8, Ashok Bhandari of Babiyachaur-8 and Tara KC of Beldiya-1 of Nawalparasi district were also cremated.
