A government employee, Ramdhani Saha, was given a blow by a local Khim Bahadur KC in front of the administration office chief Pradeep Shrestha for demanding bribe while granting passport, according to office sources. [break]

A bribe worth Rs. 500 was offered while getting recommendation required for obtaining passport of Thamman KC, a local of Sisahaniya-6, Dang.

‘I gave him Rs. 500 to have my work done after he demanded the amount citing incomplete documents for recommendation’, said Thamman KC.

Meanwhile, office chief Shrestha, organizing a press conference on Thursday, made Saha to return the amount received as bribe to the service recipient concerned.

Pledging that such mistake will not repeat from the office in coming days, Shrestha said the wrongdoer will face departmental action.
