Kathmandu, Aug 13: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal expressed his gratefulness to the United Nations for its concern towards resolving Bhutanese refugee problem and also urged the global body to facilitate addressing the problem of the remaining refugees.
In a meeting with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Nepal Representative Kevin Allen at Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar, today, PM Dahal appreciated the UN's role in resolving the problem of Bhutanese refugee as a service towards humanity.
The Prime Minister expressed his confidence to move ahead to the path of peace, stability and prosperity alongside the implementation of the new constitution.
UNHCR Nepal Representative Allen said efforts are underway to address the problem of remaining Bhutanese refugees, states a press release issued by the PM's Secretariat.
The UNHCR Representative told PM Dahal that the problem would be resolved soon. RSS
