He bid farewell following the decision of the Maoist Central Committee on Sunday to recall the party’s ministers in the Cabinet and send a new team.
Addressing a function organized to bid farewell to him, Sapkota said he worked for a short tenure with high morale for the country and people prioritizing peace and constitution.
“During my tenure, a frequency policy was formulated and frequency distribution system was established as the state’s resources as well as ensured budget for social security and insurance of journalists,” he said.
On the occasion, Secretary of Ministry of Information and Communication (MoIC) Shree Dhar Gautam said it was a great achievement of Minister Sapkota that he carried out an important work like formulating frequency policy boldly.
MoIC officials and chiefs of government bodies under the ministry were present during the farewell function.
