NAWALPARASI, Aug 15: The Nawalparasi Daunne section of the East-West highway which has been inoperative time and again since Friday has been again blocked since last night. 

The road has been blocked as a minibus has got struck in the middle of the muddy road, obstructing traffic since 2 am today, the District Police Office, Nawalparasi said. 

Police said efforts are underway to resume traffic on the road by removing the minibus. The road has been blocked at different times since Friday due to the deposition of landslide debris and caving in of the road. Still there is risk of landslide occurring at Daunne in case it rains, it is stated. RSS
