23 die of COVID-19 on Friday

KATHMANDU, September: The Kathmandu Valley recorded 667 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them 467 were recorded in Kathmandu, 71 in Bhaktapur and 129 in Lalitpur districts.

KATHMANDU, September: As many as 23 people succumbed to COVID-19 on Friday.

With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 10,809. 


Similarly, the health ministry recorded 1,756 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, alongwith 2,274 recoveries.


As many as 14,334 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Friday. Of them 1,357 PCR tests and 399 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.


There are currently 33,006 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 30,662 are in home isolation, 2,344 in institutional isolation, 560 in ICUs and 156 on ventilators. Similarly, 274 are in quarantine.
