Indian national held with drugs

PARSA, Sept 27: Police arrested an Indian citizen with 20 grams of brown sugar smuggled from India to Nepal.



Mohammed Parvej, 25, of Nakardehi Bhakurahiya was arrested on Sunday evening at the Birgunj check-point as he was heading towards Kathmandu with the illegal drug purchased at Raxaul of India, police said.





Parvej however told police that a woman had given him the drug to transport it for Rs. 5,000, according to the District Police Office, Parsa.



Necessary action against the accused has been initiated as per the Narcotics Act.
