The proposal which was submitted by NC General Secretary Bimalendra Nidhi and endorsed by the party´s Central Committee on Wednesday said the Maoists led government would not be acceptable to them. [break]The proposal said that the Maoists failed to return seized properties and disband paramilitary structure of Young Communist League as agreed.
The proposal will be presented at the party´s 12th general convention that begins from Friday in Kathmandu after incorporating suggestions received from CWC members.
The 24-page long proposal describes all major political events that took place in the last five years, including king Ganendra´s autocratic regime, NC´s struggle for democracy, Constituent Assembly election, establishment of Maoist-led government and its subsequent downfall, UML-led government and Maoist obstruction in parliament, among others.
Wednesday´s CWC meeting has entrusted the Election Committee with the responsibility to resolve differences over the names of delegates sent by the party´s sister organizations including Nepal Press Union, Nepal Student´s Union and the party´s People´s Contact Committee in the UK.
Various sub-committees formed by the party´s CWC for the purpose of general convention had also presented their reports at the meeting.
