2.1 million passengers travel by air in three months

KATHMANDU, Oct 27: At least 2.1 million passengers traveled by air in Nepal in the last three months.


According to the Tribhuvan International Airport Office, 2.176 million passengers traveled by air on domestic and internal routes in the months between July 2024 and September 2024.

According to the office, 1.14 million international passengers have taken service from Kathmandu airport in three months. Of this number, 546,156 people landed at the Kathmandu airport. The airport office data mentioned that 594,086 passengers departed from Kathmandu. A total of 8,033 flights (including takeoffs and landings) took place in Kathmandu during these three months.


On the other hand, 1.35 million people traveled domestically in three months. Among them, 514,636 passengers landed in Kathmandu, while 521,248  departed from Kathmandu. According to the airport office, a total of 22,846 flights (including takeoffs and landings) occurred in Kathmandu in these three months.
