Among the injured, eight are women and one is a minor. Altogether 27 passengers were traveling in the bus.
Those seriously injured are Hari Kumari Gurung of Jyamire, Majhthana; Janaka Adhikari of Mungrebesi; Jaumaya BK of Kalika VDC and Maiya BK of Banjiya, Tanahun, according to police. The injured are undergoing treatment at the Western Regional Hospital, Pokhara.
The bus was heading to Pokhara from Majhthana of the district. The bus fell 70 feet down the road.
The locals had rescued the passengers after learning about the accident. Bus driver Kishor Khadka reported about the accident to the Area Police Office, Dandakonak.
An investigation has been initiated into the cause of the accident, police said.
