Five houses and seven cowsheds were completely destroyed when fire broke out in Belauni of Naya Belauni VDC-5 of Nawalparasi Sunday afternoon.
Police said property worth Rs 2 million was destroyed in the fire. Fire engines and locals doused the fire. No human casualty has been reported.
Likewise, five houses were gutted when fire broke out in Bakdhuwa VDC-7 of Saptari, Sunday. The fire broke out from Raju Nepali’s house destroyed the houses causing a damage worth Rs 500,000. Police, locals and fire engines from Lahan municipality put out the fire.
Meanwhile, property worth Rs 600,000 was damaged when fire broke out in Karkach VDC of Rautahat, Sunday yesterday. The fire destroyed 10 houses. The fire caused much damage due to the lack of fire engines in the remote VDC.
