Cyclist Shankar Darai, 40, died after a truck (Na3Kha 1335) hit his cycle at Tarkari Chowk along the East-West Highway in the eastern part of Chitwan, Saturday morning. Asharaj Darai, a pillion passenger on the cycle, was seriously hurt.
Following the incident, kin of the deceased and irate locals have obstructed local vehicular movement demanding action against the culprit. Police has arrested the truck driver.
Meanwhile, 25-year-old motorcyclist Mahesh Shrestha of Bharatpur municipality-10 died in a road accident at Krishnapur Katahar chowk last night, police said.
