How often have you been to a restaurant that feels so cozy and homely? How often have you felt that real touch of the hospitality while wining and dining?[break]
If you haven’t felt any of the aforementioned because you did not find any such suitable place to dine inside the town, then it would be a heinous crime to not visit the newly opened Trio Restaurant at Jhamsikhel, Patan; also popularly known as Jhamel these days.
In not more than three months of its opening, Trio already has its regular clients coming in for a fine dining because they know how Trio is the one of the very few eateries in town that can meet their taste standards.
Located centrally at Jhamsikhel, Trio may seem a small area for a proper restaurant. But go by the food and go by the hospitality it serves its guests, for sure you will not leave disappointed.

Though, much of the interior works are still pending, it doesn’t seem like anything more is yet to be done.
A combined effort of the trio – Vaishali Sharma KC, Jwolit Budathoki, and Rashmi Tamot – Trio is located where Buzz Bar used to be three months ago. What is interesting to learn is these three friends do not come from food and beverage background. KC is a banker, Budathoki is a HR (human resource) professional and Tamot is in travel and tours. But the trio always had a dream to open an eatery where people would feel like they are sharing the meal at their own residence. And indeed, Trio is their dream come true, where things are not just limited to eating. The cozy and comfortable ambience welcomes you wholeheartedly for the tastes of authentic spices from the hands of Chef Dipak Magar.
No, Trio is not specializing itself into Mexican, Italian, Chinese and Thai foods. It’s giving you the same Nepali and Continental cuisines, but served in a complete new package. If you’re one amongst them who say that Nepali and Continental delicacies are outdated now, Trio will prove you wrong because it outstands when it comes to utilizing the same sesame seeds and cumin powder differently.
At a time when the whole Jhamsikhel lane is mushrooming with restaurants one after the other, Trio comes as a challenge to the ones who have been calling themselves as pioneers of Jhamsikhel. It’s small, yet large with the spices and delicacies and it’s centrally located, still peaceful within.
As soon as this World Cup fever comes to an end, it will immediately bring you its “exclusive” menu for breakfast. And if it’s space that you’re worried about, very soon Trio will extend its space with a lounge on its backyard, which is in the process of completion.
Talking specifically about the foods, I personally insist that you should not miss the barbeques prepared live on Fridays. You will miss a lot if you miss the pork chop, momocha, enchiladas and bacon potato roll. And of course, it’s a one stop that can liven up your World Cup experience with the wholesome of carefully picked delicacies that will keep you indulged throughout. You will keep on asking for more at Trio.
