KATHMANDU, May 23: The judicial custody of 16 people arrested in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees scam will be extended again today. They are being taken to court today.
After about two months of investigation following the arrest of 16 people on charge of defrauding Nepali citizens by making them Bhutanese refugees and sending them to the US, the police on Monday submitted the report to the District Government Attorney's Office in Kathmandu.

Now the government lawyers will study and investigate and file a case in court. After studying the report, the District Attorney’s Office has prepared to file a case at the District Court, Kathmandu by Thursday. The 16 arrested are being brought to court today to seek permission to keep them in custody until the case is filed.
