KATHMANDU, March 22: The Supreme Court on Monday issued show cause notices to eight law enforcing offices in response to a habeas corpus writ petition filed by an NGO demanding release of 27 women arrested from X-Bar disco at Sundhara, Kathmandu, last Wednesday.

The court issued show cause notices to the law enforcing offices, including Ministry of Home Affairs, Kathmandu District Administrative Office and District Police Office Kathmandu, on why the women were arrested.

Samrakshak Samuha Nepal (SASANE) had moved the SC to free the women.
