The party said the strike has been called off due to the death of Girija Prasad Koirala, the former Prime Minister and President of Nepali Congress.
It had announced banda demanding that Manil Tamang, a student killed by police last year, be declared a martyr and Rs. 1 million compensation for the deceased’s family.
