BIRATNAGAR, August 25: Demonstrators in Kanchanbari, Biratnagar, have staged a road blockade following police obstruction to their plan to attend a peace and harmony rally scheduled to take place in Dharan.
This follows a prohibition order enforced in Dharan until midnight today. This prompted Morang police to prevent individuals from joining the peace and harmony rally in Dharan today.
The agitating protestors blockaded the road voicing their discontent against the government and police administration.
Chanting fervent slogans, the demonstrators expressed their grievances by emphasizing demands such as the prohibition of cow slaughter, action against those involved in cow slaughter, and the resignation of the Home Minister.
