KATHMANDU, March 30: Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to field Govinda Bhattarai as a candidate in Tanahun-1.

A Central Work Performance Committee meeting held at the party's central office in Sanepa decided to make Bhattarai a candidate for the by-poll being held in Tanahu-1. The post of HoR member fell vacant after Ram Chandra Poudel was elected as president recently.
The by-election is being held on April 23.
