KATHMANDU, Oct 2: Dwarika Lal Chaudhary, former mayor of Sunsari's Itahari sub-metropolitan city and a local leader of CPN-UML, has joined the CPN (Maoist Center).
Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal welcomed other CPN-UML leaders and activists along with Chaudhary I to the party on Sunday morning.

Chaudhary became the chairman of UML Sunsari district in 2072 BS and was elected as mayor of Itahari Sub-metropolitan City after the local elections of 2074 BS.
Similarly, Chaudhary, who has 17 houses in Itahari, was also a proportional candidate of UML in the first Constituent Assembly member election of 2008.
