From Tamang, police seized 103 plastic capsules containing the drug.

“From investigation, we found that some unidentified peddler flew from Afghanistan to Delhi carrying the capsules inside his stomach,” said Senior Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Silwal, deputy chief of NDCLEU.
In Delhi, the capsules were extracted from the peddler´s body and transported to Kathmandu by land.
During interrogation, Tamang told police that an African national was supposed to receive the consignment and peddle it to western countries.
The value of the seized quantity in the local black market is estimated at Rs 12 million. In Europe, the quantity of white heroine can fetch up to 4 million euro.
“The quantity might seem small, but it is equivalent to 12,000 dozes,” Silwal added.
Only last week, the unit arrested Suparerat Mcintosh, a Thai woman, in possession of one kilogram of cocaine at the Tribhuvan International Airport in what is believed to be the first seizure of cocaine in the country.
