Wide coverage of PM Oli’s visit in Indian newspapers

NEW DELHI,, Feb 21: Most of the major newspapers in India have given due coverage of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's state visit to India and his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Indian major broadsheet dailies in their today's Sunday edition have published photos and news about PM Oli's meetings with the Indian leaders on their first pages stating that Nepal-India ties have reached to a new high from Oli's visit.


Navbharat Times Daily has published the news with the headlines 'Bharat Aur Nepal Ke Bich Aab All Is Well' while Times of India has carried a news story with the headline 'Uprising in Nepal Ties after PM Oli's Visit'.

Likewise, Indian Express has carried a news with the headline 'Nepal PM meets Modi; says misunderstanding over' while The Asian Age has published the news and photo of the two prime ministers shaking hands.

Furthermore, The Hindu and other newspapers too have published the news about PM Oli's India visit with due priority stating that Indian PM Modi has stated Nepal's new constitution as an achievement and has urged to forge consensus on remaining political issues of Madhes agitation through talks and consensus as well as the seven-point deal.
