Expressing their strong reservation over the demarcation of the federal states, the UDMF has been organizing Tarai banda and blockade at the Indo-Nepal border for more than three months.
Top leaders of the Federal Socialist Forum, Sadbhawana Party , Tarai Madhes Sadbhawana Party and Tarai Madhes Democratic Party are present in the meeting.
On Wednesday’s talks with major parties, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal had proposed UDMF that a parliamentary committee be formed to find solution on the issues raised by agitating Madhes-based parties.
However, leaders from the UDMF during the talks rejected Dahal’s proposal arguing that it was yet another ploy to dillydally over meeting their demands.
The talks, that were much-hyped as ‘decisive’ in resolving the crisis, ended inconclusively as the Madhesi leaders insisted on finding a solution in a package and withoutany further delay.
