UDMF cadres stage protests in Jogbani border

BIRATNAGAR, Dec 28: United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) cadres have staged a brief protest at Jogbani checkpoint on Monday.

They organized corner meeting too nearby Biratnagar Revenue Office. UDMF cadres had called off protests after Saturday's incident.However, the cadres have not obstructed the vehicles coming to Nepal from India.

Around 165 trucks crossed the border and entered to Nepal, Officer Rajendra Dhungana of Biratnagar Revenue Office said.

Chairman of Sadbhawana Party Rajendra Mahato was injured when police intervened protests on Saturday. Following the incident, Jogbani border remained peaceful throughout Sunday.
