BARDIYA, Dec 30: A 17-year-old girl was killed in a tiger attack in Bardiya on Tuesday afternoon.
The victim, Binita Pariyar of Madhuwan Municipality–2, was attacked while cutting grass in the nearby Kothiya Community Forest at around 1 pm. The tiger dragged her away after the attack.

During a search operation, Pariyar was found seriously injured in the forest at around 1:30 pm. She was immediately taken to Bardiya Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared her dead, said Superintendent of Police Devendra Kumar Malla.
Police said her body has been kept at Bardiya Hospital for further procedures.
