KATHMANDU, Dec 30: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has made public the list of 110 candidates submitted to the Election Commission under the Proportional Representation (PR) system. The list, finalized late Monday after prolonged discussions, includes several figures from the film, music and beauty pageant sectors.

Among the notable names is Miss Nepal 2019 Anushka Shrestha, who has been placed fourth under the Indigenous Women cluster. Model and Actor Rupak Bishwakarma Ghimire, who is also a medical doctor, has been listed first under his respective cluster. Singer and Actor Prakash Saput has been placed second under the Dalit cluster, while host and Actress Rima Bishwakarma features at the top of the Dalit women category.
Film producer, actor and television presenter Asif Shah has been listed first under the Muslim cluster. Singer Satykala Rai and Trishala Gurung have also been recommended under the PR system from the Ujyalo Nepal Party quota; both are medical professionals by training. The inclusion of public figures from diverse professional backgrounds reflects the party’s attempt to broaden representation in its proportional list.
