Transporters to hike fare by 15 pc

KATHMANDU, Sept 20: Stating that the government failed to adjust public transport fares following the price hike of petroleum products, transport entrepreneurs have decided to unilaterally hike the fares by 15 percent with effect from November 17.



A meeting of the Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs (FNNTE) on Sunday has asked the government to adjust the fares by November 1 or they would implement their price hike decision. [break]



Issuing a press statement, the FNNTE has also stated that the meeting also decided to draw attention of concerned agencies over the hike in insurance premium by insurance companies.
