KATHMANDU, May 31: Major parties have decided to sit for talks to sort out disputed issues of the new constitution from tomorrow.

A meeting of four major parties held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Sunday morning decided to that effect.

The meet also agreed to request Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman Subas Nembang to postpone the CA meeting for five days and assign chiefs of four parties to seek agreement on contentious issues. The CA meeting has been scheduled for this afternoon.

Responding to journalists after the meet, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal remarked that people will heave a sigh of relief if the constitution is promulgated soon.

“Then, a national unity government should be formed for new construction and reconstruction,” he opined.
