Chairman of TMDP, one of the constituent members of agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF), hinted the possibility of the party joining the mechanism. It may be noted that the government on last Thursday formed a political mechanism to deal with the disputed issues relating to the delineation of federal units.
Speaking at a face-to-face program at Reporters' Club Saturday, Thakur accused the government of forming the mechanism unilaterally. However, "we still could join it if there is mutual understanding for the same", he said. The Front wants the resolution of the Madhesh problems through talks and negotiations.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, Upendra Yadav, said the UDMF's agitation would now focus on the capital.
Speaking at a party program at Siraha, he said the UDMF has changed the form of protests bearing in mind its inconvenience to the people. Fresh agitation would start from the capital within the next few days, he said. RSS
