Three held for extortion

RUKUM, March 1: Police arrested three people on the charge of extorting money from local businessmen at gunpoint. Kismat Budamagar, 26 , and Nabin Gharti of Hukam VDC-1 and Lakshin Pun supposedly from Maikot VDC were arrested from Bhaune Bazaar area in Rukumkot VDC while they were forcefully collecting money from local businessmen.



A team from Rukumkot Area Police Office reached the site after locals informed the police. Inspector Indra Bahadur Malla said investigation into the incident is on. [break]Police also informed that the gang had started extorting money two days ago.
