KATHMANDU, Dec 13: Nepal suffered a defeat against Sri Lanka in the opening match of the ACC U-19 Asia Cup at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai, UAE.
After losing the toss, Nepal was asked to bat first and managed 82 runs in 28.5 overs before being bowled out, setting a modest target of 83 for Sri Lanka. The Lankan side chased it down comfortably, reaching 83 runs in just 14.5 overs while losing only two wickets.

Nepal, competing in Group B, will take on Bangladesh in their next match on Monday. The tournament, which kicked off on December 12, features eight teams including Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, UAE, and Malaysia.
