Theater, tabla and vocal for an artistic evening

KATHMANDU, Oct 6: L’Art en Poche, in collaboration with Saathi, a not for profit organization, has organized “Kala Saanjh” on Saturday (today) at D.A.V. School, Jawalakhel, and is scheduled to start at 5pm.



The evening will include “Nainavati,” a traditional Nepali folk play by the drama students of L’Art en Poche which will be accompanied by original performances by tabla and vocal students.[break]



The 35 deprived children from Saathi Home Shelters will be performing the drama, vocals and tabla.



“The students are being reintegrated in artistic endeavors by L’Art en Poche,” said Marie de Valensart, organizer of the event.



The play and musical performances are directed by Aashant Sharma, member of the Actor’s Studio, and Bibek Bhattarai and Pramod Upadhaya from from the Sukarma musical ensemble.



Tickets for the show are available at 1905 Restaurant, Kanti Path and Café Soma, Jhamsikhel for Rs 500 each (front seats) and Rs 250 (general seats) or by phone reservation: 980 351 8313.



All proceeds from the Kala Saanjh event will go to open up new art classes for the deprived children of Kathmandu.
