Taylor Swift has clambered aboard the latest tech/celebrity crossover craze with the announcement that she's developing her own mobile app game. She's developing the app in partnership with Glu Mobile, the team responsible forKim Kardashian's 'Hollywood' game.

In its first three months, Kardashian's game generated an astonishing $43 million in revenue, according to Variety.

No further details have yet been announced except an anticipated release date of autumn 2016, but fans of the aforementioned games can expect a distinctive cartoonish style and the 'freemium' model – i.e. free to play, but advancement is much quicker with in-app purchases with real-world money.

Swift has an absolutely enormous following on social media, meaning she should have little difficulty in securing a similarly lucrative income stream when the app goes online. Perhaps if she takes another leaf out of Kardashian's book, there'll be a Taylor Swift emoji set later this year too...
