Strong nat'l unity needed, UML gen secy says

KATHMANDU, Nov. 8: CPN-UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel has said that a strong national unity is needed to keep the national pride high.

At a greetings exchange program at Thali of Kathmandu on Saturday, he said that the incumbent government would join hands together with those backing national pride and looks the leaders and political parties not based on their history but based on their current activities.The UML general secretary also said that the government would unveil its roadmap soon.

Pokharel said that constitution would not be amended by carrying out violent activities from foreign land and no men's land and urged the agitating Madhes-centric parties to sit for talks to resolve the crisis.

On the occasion, lawmaker Rameshwor Phuyal, UML leaders Sanu Kumar Shrestha and Sabitra Bhusal among others stressed for uniting the national forces to address the problems country facing. RSS
