National TT in Dhangadhi
KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): The 35th edition of National Table Tennis Championship is scheduled to be held in Dhangadhi from January 8 to 11. Altogether 80 players in both boys´ and girls´ categories will be competing for eight gold medals during the championship, which is being jointly organized by the All Nepal Table Tennis Association (ANTTA) and the Kailali District Table Tennis Association. The championship will also serve as the selection tournament for the second phase training for Misson SAG Training Program, according to ANTTA General secretary Kuber Prasad Singh. Players from 27 districts and three departmental teams will be taking part in the contest.

KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Innovative and Kathmandu Valley School advanced into the quarterfinals of the Second Neric-Zenith Inter-school Basketball Tournament on Monday in the senior boys´ section. Innovative defeated Golden Peak 27-23 and then ousted Mount Kailash by the same scoreline to advance into the last eight. Meanwhile, Kathmandu Valley beat Divya Gyan 26-18 to secure a berth in the quarterfinals. In the senior girls´ section, Valley Public School beat Galaxy 24-18.
