Khumaltar thrashes Gyan Bhairab
KATHMANDU: Khumaltar Youth Club thrashed Gyan Bhairab Youth Club 4-0 on Friday in the Martyrs Memorial Red Bull C Division League. Binoj Rai, Sajan Thapa Magar, Sujan Raut and Raj Kaji Thapa scored a goal each for Khumaltar during the match played at ANFA Technical Center Chyasal, Lalitpur.
Likewise, Kalanki Navajyoti Club defeated Khalibari Football Club 2-0 as Susan Rai scored a brace. Rai scored in the 76th and 87th minute of the match. On the last match of the day, Shree Bhagawati Club beat Jhamsikhel Youth Club 1-0 as Dinesh Dangol scored the sole goal of the match in the 31st minute.
Referee Course in Tanahu
KATHMANDU: ANFA Referee Training Course kicked off in Aanbukhaireni, Tanahu on Friday. Altogether 23 enthusiasts from nine district of Western Region are participating in the course organized by All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and hosted by Tanahu District Football Association. Referee Instructor Buddhi Bahadur Gurung, FIFA Assistant Referee Kiran Giri and Shailesh Joshi will run classes about officiating matches and fitness of a referee.
Coaching course ends
KATHMANDU: AFC C-Certificate Coaching Course concluded on Friday in Kathmandu. According to All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), 30 people participated in the 15-day course. AFC Elite Coaching Instructor Marlon M Maro conducted theoretical and practical classes for the participants. ANFA President Ganesh Thapa handed over participation-certificate to the trainee. However, participants must pass the examination to get the C-Certificate from Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
Bomjan confirms at least bronze
KATHMANDU: Chahana Bomjan confirmed at least bronze medal in the Fourth Junior World Wushu Championship being held in Macau. Chahana defeated her American opponent in the quarterfinal round of the girls´ 60 kg sanshou on Friday. According to Nepal Wushu Association Secretary Pratap Thapa, Bomjan received bye in the first round and reached quarterfinal. Bomjan will vie against a player from Egypt in the semifinal on Saturday.
