Nirmala murder case remains a mystery even after five years
Police formed a special team for investigation and proceeded based on technical analysis, statements from locals, and the victim’s family.
Preliminary findings suggest Chaudhary was killed in a planned attack after allegedly “tormenting his family for a long time using occult practices,” SP Thebe said. The investigation has revealed monetary transactions and coordinated involvement of a group in carrying out the shooting.
Police stated that those arrested from various locations in Sunsari and Saptari have confessed to their roles during initial interrogation.
They are being prosecuted on charges of homicide. Sunsari District Court has extended their remand for further investigation, police added.
