CHITWAN, March 25: A truck driver has died after a truck carrying coal fell into the Trishuli River from the Chaurkhillo area on the Mugling-Narayanghat road section. The co-driver was injured in the accident.
The accident occurred around 6:30 AM today when the truck (Ba Pra 03-001 Kh 4874), lost control and fell into the Trishuli River.

According to Chitwan police, the truck driver Ram Narayan Yadav aged around 35 years from Rautahat died in the accident, while the co-driver, Asundra Kumar Yadav, 19, from Rautahat, sustained injuries.
Upon receiving the information of the accident, a team led by Sub Inspector Thakur Prasad Paneru from the Jugedi Area Police Office was dispatched. The team rescued both the driver and the co-driver and sent them to the Bharatpur Hospital.
Doctors referred the co-driver to the Chitwan Medical College Bharatpur for further treatment, while the driver was declared dead at 8:20 am.
According to police, the truck was completely damaged in the accident, with half of its body submerged in the Trishuli River. Efforts are underway to retrieve the truck.
