SARLAHI, Jan 1: It has been revealed that a school promoter has been murdered for just Rs 3,000 at Barhathwa in the district.
A preliminary investigation of the police shows that 30-year-old Malik Mahato of Barhathwa municipality-5 was killed by Rabindra Mahato who had taken out a contract on him for Rs 3,000.
According to police, Dhaneshwar Mahato, son-in-law by relation, had contracted Rabindra to kill Malik.

“On December 30, Dhaneshwar, the main mastermind behind the murder, had given Rabindra Rs 3,000 and left for Janakpur. On Friday night, two people including Rabindra murdered Malik,” SP Poshraj Pokharel told Republica Online.
Police said they are investing the case after taking Dhaneshwar and Rabindra into custody. They were arrested three days after the incident. The other culprit involved in the murder case is at large.
