During the function, Bansal said that Hi Tech is sponsoring the event to encourage students to play the game. Similarly, Thapa said that the competition will serve in the talent hunt. Altogether 138 students from eight to 10 districts will take part in the competition that will feature U-12 and U-14 events for both boys and girls.
SAG gold medalists honored
KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Gold medalists of 12th South Asian Games (SAG) Phupu Lhamu Khatri of judo and Nima Gharti Magar of wushu were honored with cash incentives on Wednesday by Universal United Taekwondo Federation.
The duos were handed over check of Rs 50,000 each and letter of appreciation by National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshav Bista amid a function at Maitri Taekwondo Dojang in Satdobato. Meanwhile, ultra-runner Mira Rai was also honored with a check of Rs 75,000 for her performance at international arena.
